SWIMMIAMI RETURNS WITH UPGRADES GALORE AT W SOUTH BEACH DURING MIAMI SWIM WEEK
SWIMMIAMI 2018 has announced its return for a third season with its main programming at W South Beach and a tented runway at the Vintro Hotel South Beach. A host of upgrades expected, including expanded programming and daytime wellness “Swim to Gym” activations. Designers, buyers and media from around the world will be welcomed to view the 2018 collections on two glamorous runways at W South Beach and the Vintro Hotel South Beach.
The event has quickly become the pre-eminent platform for swimwear designers to show their collections receiving high praise from media and buyers for “on-time” shows and well-organized event flow. The SWIMMIAMI team will offer more options for top designers wishing to take advantage of the prestigious footprint with space for parties and presentations complimenting the outdoor runway set atop the main pool at W South Beach. A tented runway will be set just a quick jaunt from the property. In addition, there will be daytime wellness and beauty programming to be added to the schedule featuring everything from free fitness classes to mind, body and soul workshops.
Expanding the SWIMMIAMI footprint and offering more programming in one venue provides convenient “one-stop” access for buyers and media since the property’s location will also host top swimwear tradeshow, Hammock, and is in close proximity to other trade shows. Hammock has become a must visit stop on the swimwear tradeshow circuit for buyers, so W South Beach will literally be the center of activity for Miami Swim Week attendees from morning ‘till night.
SWIMMIAMI has quickly become recognized as the premier platform for designers seeking to present collections in a runway format set to international standards and last year SWIMMIAMI took the number three spot Bizbash’s coveted list of Top 100 events in South Florida.
SWIMMIAMI will kick-off with an opening party on July 20, 2017 at W South Beach’s WET Deck. Runway shows are programmed from Friday, July 21 through Sunday, July 23, and is expected to host swimwear’s hottest designers, celebrities, major influencers, media and top buyers including Gottex, Kaohs, Hot-As-Hell, Lila Nikole and Frankie's Bikinis.
